Can weightlifting stunt my child’s growth? While weightlifting, bodybuilding, and powerlifting can have negative affects if started too early, resistance training can have many health benefits for children. At CORE Kids we utilize several resistance training techniques, such as exercise tubing, medicine balls, dumbbells, and body weight exercises (ie– pushups, pull-ups, and situps), that will not negatively affect your child’s health.
